Who I am

Hello, I am Jill Kitko Bernard and I am passionate about the work I do. I started my career as a dietician, always passionate about helping others achieve balanced diets. However, I often felt frustrated by how little change I could help patients achieve because of the short time we had to work together during their hospital stay. Wanting to truly support people who were ready for transformation, I became a Certified Health and Wellness Professional and Personal Trainer, focusing on teaching healthy habits that stick. In 2023, I was honored to be named Best Personal Trainer of Howard County, which inspired me to specialize even further as a Post Rehabilitation Specialist with MedFit. Working alongside physical therapists, I love helping athletes get back into their sport safely. My own journey took an unexpected turn when I underwent double hip replacement for osteoarthritis; going through rehabilitation myself made me realize the importance of specialized training, so I immersed myself in joint replacement, osteoporosis fitness, menopause fitness, fall prevention, and cognitive conditioning with Z Health. Today, I design custom programs for each client, no matter their fitness level, dedicated to helping them build strength, improve balance, and embrace vitality—just as I have in my own life.
